LOOK OUT THE WINDOW!!

Happy Easter!!!! Or Dia de Pascua! We had Easter dinner with a family in the ward and afterwards we died eggs and it reminded me of doing it as a family growing up!  Such good Easter memories!  I want to invite you all to watch the #hallelujah video that the church came out with this year for the resurrection of our Lord and Redeemer! The video has a spirit of peace. My favorite line used in the video is he is the King of Kings and Friend of Friends. We forget sometimes that He is our Loving Heavenly brother here to pick us up when we fall. We are sinners but He is here to clean us from our own fall, wash us off, and send us on our way.

This week was SO GOOD!  I got to meet my brand new noobie missionary! Her name is Sister Michelle Anderson! She is from Friendswood, Texas a suburb outside of Houston! HOLLA FOR TEXAS!  She is adorable! Fresh from the CCM in Mexico.  She is pretty quiet but I am trying to break her out of her shell. She went to BYU and found out we were just a building away from each other during our freshman year! Small world....I am sure I have passed by her on campus.  She got into the nursing program after her freshman year!!! WOWWW.  So she's basically perfect and a smarty pants. We get along great and she is so excited to serve and ready for the fun of missionary work!  WOOHOO!

First thing we did when we got back home on Wednesday from transfers was eat dinner with *** and her husband ****!  This dinner was ***s idea so that we could get to know **** better and see where he is at with all this change that ***  is going through. ****  is a good guy but very, very skeptical.  He is not even remotely on the same page as Pam was when we met her.  He has a lot of doubts and was really quiet most of the evening.  Pam is really struggling with it all.. She wants so badly for him to open his heart and listen with intent and enjoy the blessings from the gospel as she has enjoyed them.  It is a struggle for her.  So pray for her and him will you?!! We are going to fast this week for them both.

The next day we texted *** and asked how she was feeling, She responded with this : "How do I feel about my commitment and my wonderful journey?  Nothing has changed.  I am fully committed and SO looking forward to being baptized, preparing to go to the Temple, ready and excited for my callings in the church.  I know this is true, and I know Heavenly Father is guiding me and has me exactly where I need to be.  The Holy Ghost has confirmed it to me so many times."  I teared up reading this!  *** is one of the strongest most dedicated women I know.  Sometimes I feel like with a normal investigator, the missionaries are the strong ones, they are the ones comforting, pushing, moving, helping the investigator continue to increase their faith.  Not with Pam!!  She occupies most of my thoughts and prayers.  Yet we have done absolutely nothing.  The spirit and her personal desire are the only driving forces in her conversion.  She seeks the inspiration of the Spirit and follows it.  She is amazing.  We are just her guiding friends.  And that is exactly how it should be!  ok that went on a lot longer than I intended haha but ITS TRUE SHES AMAZING.

Sooo I am not sure what it is...either its the fact that we have little black name tags, that when people see it they just unload everything about their whole life onto you or it is just the Alabama culture...I haven't figured it out yet but this happens ALL THE TIME.   It was about 7:45pm and we decide to go tracting to finish out the day.  The first door we knock on is the teeny tiniest old lady named *****!  Without even saying hello she opened up her door and invited us in (NEVER HAPPENS)  she winded up talking our ear off for the next hour, neither Sister Anderson nor I got a single sentence in hahaha but she was such a sweet lady that has had a lot of difficult times in her life but has the best attitude I have ever seen!!!  We talked a little bit about the Book Of Mormon. She told us that she knew without a doubt we were sent to her by God and that she really needed to unload on us.  After we both testified of the BoM and told her we had one for her she jumped up off her couch and gave me the biggest hug ever! She got so excited that she wanted us to write her name in the front along with our names!!  Before we left we said a prayer with her.  I said it, and while praying she interrupted me and said "I know I've been interrupting you all night but I'm going to do it again and I know it's rude but I just wanted to say that Lord I will read the verses that these ladies have given me and then I will start from the very beginning and read it...ok you can finish now I am so sorry."

It was the funniest thing of my WHOLE LIFE.  I was smiling and trying not to laugh! hahaha

Women's Conference was a definite highlight as well.  I loved the messages that were shared about service.  How sometimes we need to throw away the mirror and Look out the Window.   True service truly is when we focus on the needs of others and put our needs aside.  As members we are His instruments with a mandate to serve and lift others!  President Hanks always says "Service Softens Stony Souls"  I have seen this. ITS SO TRUE. Just help people and be happy!!!
Yay for General Conference! I AM SO EXCITED!!!!  SO excited to hear what our beloved prophet and apostles have to say.  I love this time that we have! It is so precious and needed.

I know that our Redeemer lives.  What comfort this sweet sentence gives!! It gives me so much comfort.  I am so happy where I am.  I love Alabama!!! I love the people!!! And I love the reason I am here even more!!  I am grateful for opportunities to learn and grow.  Every transfer is an opportunity to become better.  Every day is an opportunity to become better!!  LETS ALL BE BETTER! Look out the window and serve! See what you can do! And DO IT.  We will be happier people.

Have a great week fam!

Sure love you molines rock missionaries RULE.
