There's no place like home(TUSCALOOSA)

September 6, 2016

Another week bites the dust and we have some BIG NEWS. Transfer news.
Sister Merrill and I are both getting transferred!!  Two new sisters will be white washing Tuscaloosa!!  I am getting transferred to just 60 miles south to good ole Demopolis Alabama!  I will still be in the Same zone and even in the same District as Tuscaloosa.  I will be released as an stl, opening up a brand new area for Spanish sisters, and I will be training again!  I think I have told ya’ll a bit about Demopolis because I have been there a few times on exchanges but it is TEENY TINY.  I think somewhere around 7,000 people.  However we cover one of the largest geographical areas in the mission.  There are around 30 members that attend the small branch there in a small church owned building.  I guess there is enough Hispanics there to put two Spanish missionaries??????? haha I have no idea. I guess we will find out.  Also we are sharing a car.... so I guess I will be getting some nice calf muscles (hopefully) since we will be biking ALOT.  I am super excited for this next transfer in scoping out Demopolis and putting in some hard work in bringing more people to this beautiful knowledge of their Savior.  However I am also super nervous!  So I ask for your earnest prayers this week with this new transfer and many changes.  I definitely did not see it coming.
This week was AWESOME. In ever sense of the word.  Our investigator, Dorothy, is on baptismal date for the end of the month!  We were able to teach her the Plan of Salvation. She has been reading the Book of Mormon when she has down time at her work and just recently read 1 Nephi 4. She LOVED the story of Nephi killing Laban and told us that she believes that the Book of Mormon is true.  Later on last week we had a church tour with her and it went so well!!  You could feel the spirit so strong. We ended in the chapel talking about Christ, His suffering, the sacrament, and baptism.  We invited her to be baptized on the 24th and she accepted.  She is so excited to come to church this next week for the first time! Sadly S. Merrill and I wont even be here!  But we both know the new sisters in Tuscaloosa will take great care of her.
TED.  Our favorite person!! Ted but like I said last week, continues to come to church and even bore his testimony in Fast and Testimony meeting this last Sunday.  He bore a beautiful testimony and said that although he is not a member yet, he knows that Prophet Joseph Smith and Thomas S. Monson were and are prophets and the Book of Mormon is true. He also thanks us for teaching him. IT WAS AMAZING.  I was seriously blown away. It was so great to hear him say all that since it has been harder to get through to him these last few weeks. The ONLY thing that is keeping him from baptism is cigarettes.  He has quite coffee but he is really struggling with smoking. He has many friends in the ward and He truly does love the Lord. Sister Merrill and I have grown to love him so much.  He is a wonderful man and I know, will be baptized one day.

Although I am excited for the new adventure of a new area and new companion, I am sad to say goodbye to Tuscaloosa.  I am so grateful for my time and experiences I have had in the heart of Alabama.  Saying goodbye to these wonderful people that I have been able to know and love and serve is sad.  And to think, I am leaving two days before the first home game.  :'(  ROLL TIDE ROLL
Also I heard Alabama crushed whoever we played last Saturday in DALLAS! Shout out to my home.
So sorry this is short and kind of lame email. But I love you all. I am continuously amazed at the peace and joy that this Gospel brings to our lives.  I LOVE IT.  As I bore my testimony on Sunday in the Tuscaloosa ward, I was able to look out into the congregation and see these wonderful disciples of Christ, stalwart, and steadfast in His arms.  I know that a living prophet lives.  He is the mouthpiece of our Heavenly Father for this last dispensation.  I KNOW that if we follow Him and the teachings of Christ, we will never falter or waver and we will find eternal joy and happiness.
Con mucho amor,
Hermana Moline
Steadfast in CHRIST
